PRF & the Ambiguity Window

A SAR fires pulses at a pulse-repetition frequency. Too low and the along-track Doppler history aliases; too high and echoes from two pulses arrive together. The usable PRF lives in a window — and if the antenna is too small, the window closes entirely.
